Moving from Salla takes an afternoon, not a project. Uqail reads your Salla store the way a shopper's browser does, so you do not install anything on Salla, share a password, or export a file. Your Salla store keeps running the whole time; nothing on it changes.
What comes across#
- Products, with their titles, descriptions, options and variants.
- Prices, including a sale price when a product is on sale.
- Product photos, re-hosted on Uqail so they keep loading after you leave Salla.
- Categories, which become sections of your Uqail store, with a redirect from each old category address.
- Stock counts for products that track inventory, on the first import.
What stays behind#
Orders, customers, reviews and discount codes do not move. They belong to your Salla account and we have no way to read them from the outside. Keep your Salla admin open for a while if you need to look up an old order, and re-create the discount codes you still use from Growth in Uqail.
Starting the import#
- Open Uqail and paste your Salla store address into the first message, for example `https://yourstore.salla.sa`. If you already have a Uqail store, open Products and choose Import instead.
- Uqail checks the address, finds your products, and starts bringing them in. A store of a few hundred products takes a few minutes; you can keep working while it runs.
- When the import finishes, Products shows what was created, what was updated, and anything that needs a look: a product whose photo did not load, or a field we could not read.
The address must be your public store, the one shoppers open. A link to the Salla admin or to a single product page is refused.
Running it again#
You can import the same store as many times as you like. A product that already came across is updated in place, never duplicated. Anything you changed in Uqail after the first import stays yours: if you rewrote a description or changed a price here, a later import leaves it alone and tells you it did.
Keeping your look#
When you start from the link in the first message, Uqail can also build your new store to look like the Salla one: the same home page, the same product page, your own colours and fonts. You can then change anything by describing the change in the studio, the same way you build any Uqail store.
Moving your domain#
Leave your domain pointing at Salla until your Uqail store is published and you have placed a test order. Then connect the domain from Settings, then Domain, update the DNS record at your registrar, and your shoppers land on Uqail. Old category links keep working through the redirects the import created. If you need the steps for the DNS side, see Connecting your own domain.
